Business Continuity
The first step in the process is the creation of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP). This process provides the structure required for evaluating and documenting critical business processes as well as prioritizing the steps that must be followed to maintain these operations during a business disruption. Furthermore, the process offers the opportunity to examine all potential service interruptions (earthquakes, loss of Internet access, travel bans, power outages, loss of building, etc.) and identify the risk and redundancy of all your electronic and hard-copy information. From this plan, you will have clear procedures to follow on a daily basis and in a time of need. Once a plan is completed, the hardware and software needed to host and update the most critical elements of your business process can be put in place. From that point you can rest easier knowing that your business operations will continue in the face of any disaster. Setting up a Business Continuity Site (BCS) means that you will have access to the data and infrastructure required to run your business. Setting up a Business Continuity Site at UNAPEN means you will have seasoned technical professionals available to keep your business running. If a warm business continuity site is more than your current requirements call for, UNAPEN can also offer various automated system imaging and offsite data storage solutions that can provide sufficient coverage for many situations. |
