Joe Walker Joe Walker is a co-founder of UNAPEN, a member of the Board of Directors, and its Chairman. As a Senior Practice Manager, Joe leads workflow evaluations and technology initiatives both inside and outside of UNAPEN. Prior to UNAPEN, Joe held senior management and founding partner posts in two other technology firms, both of which focused on the Financial Services community. Joe holds a BA in Finance and Comparative Sociology from The University of Puget Sound.
David Gemma David Gemma is a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of UNAPEN where he oversees Client Relations in addition to his responsibilities for Business Development. David acts as the client liaison for a number of key accounts. He also created and managed the software development group at UNAPEN for 8 years. David holds a BA in Physics from the College of the Holy Cross.
Joan Walker Joan (Eckland) Walker is a co-founder of UNAPEN and a member of the Board of Directors. Her primary position is Chief Financial Officer and liaison to Corporate Counsel. Her prior interaction and service with mutual funds and transfer agencies have provided a unique background that includes knowledge of several fund record keeping systems, and operations. Joan holds a BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross.
Ken Rode Ken Rode is responsible for management of company technical resources and services. His responsibilities include the management of all IT systems and services, design and maintenance of security systems, management of hosted Business Continuity Sites and management of the IT Consulting Group. Ken has over 22 years of engineering experience, holds a number of IT Security certifications and is actively involved with Infragard, an organization focused on improving information sharing between private industry and the FBI to better secure critical national infrastructures.
Bill Purdue Bill Purdue is the leader of UNAPEN's conversion team that provides assistance in complex conversion efforts as well as system design, remote support, software design and specification requirements for investment management firms. Before joining UNAPEN, Bill was the Director of Client Service for National Investor Data Service (NIDS), creators of one of the first in-house portfolio accounting solutions. Bill led the rollout processes for in-house fund and portfolio accounting systems at Shearson, Oppenheimer and Shawmut Bank, working with these clients as they developed performance reporting, accounting procedures and compliance enhancements. Bill holds a BS in Education from Queens College, NY.
Richard Bohnet Richard Bohnet is a Senior Business Analyst specializing in operations management restructure and review, trade order management and brokerage integration. Before joining UNAPEN, Rich spent seventeen years in managing the finance, operations and SEC compliance areas for JMC Capital Management, an investment advisory firm. In addition to his responsibilities with JMC, he served on the Board of Directors and as the Past President of a national investment accounting software users group. Rich holds a BS in Business Administration from Tulane University. His other professional designations and licenses include the NASD Series 7, 24, 27, 63 and 65.
